Enrich your blonde with Aveda hair color!

Spring and Summer is coming upon us. What is a better way to brighten up your hair than with the new Aveda blonde finishers?! It is only a 5 minute treatment before hair styling that lasts up to 4 weeks. This is to enrich your blonde after highlights or all over blonde is processed. There is a tone for each of you blonde beauties!

This past Tuesday we traveled to Wabasha for an amazing Aveda Spring/Summer blonding education class taught by the fabulous Rebecca!

We had one of our very talented hairstylists Lindsey for our blonde model! Since she loves the look of a cool toned blonde, we foiled her for lift and used the new "Ash" blonde finisher. Her blonde tones turned out beautiful!

{Steps}

1. Apply Aveda's exfoliant onto a clean mascara wand. Rub the mascara wand onto your lips for a great exfoliating treatment before applying any pigment. 

2. Apply Aveda's renewing lip treatment for moisture under the lipstick. This treatment does not leave your lips looking glossy, which is great for lipstick so it doesn't change the true pigment of the lipstick shade. 

3. Apply Aveda's lip definer to help prevent any bleeding from the lip pigments. This is a great lip liner for every woman to have because it goes with every shade of lipstick in your makeup bag!

4. After you have prepared your lips by prepping them. Now it's time for pigment! Apply Aveda's nourish-mint lip liner in dragon fruit. Start applying this pigment in the center of the lips and workout outward.

5. To make this gorgeous pink lip pigment last all day add an extra pigment! Apply Magenta Berry all over the lips, again start in the center of the lips and work outward.

6. Grab a tissue and let's get ready for business to make this pigment really last all day long! Apply the tissue over the lips and take a powder brush with Aveda's mineral loose powder over the tissue. Applying the loose powder over the tissue helps set the lipstick. Think of your liquid foundation, powder helps set the foundation. We just don't want the powder over the lips so that is why the tissue comes in handy!

About:

Urban Sanctuary is an Aveda salon located in Downtown Rochester, MN. Formerly known as The Nail Bar. The Manager, Lisa Richardson of the salon has been in the beauty industry for more than 15 years. After managing The Nail Bar, Lisa saw a growth for hair services downtown. With Lisa being Aveda trained and loving how amazing the education is with Aveda she brought it to downtown Rochester. Lisa hired on an exceptionally trained staff of Hair Stylists, Nail Technicians and Makeup Artists. With now being Aveda concept, Urban Sanctuary has 3 hair chairs and is the only salon with a private hair room for privacy. At Urban Sanctuary we strive on giving our clients an amazing Aveda experience when they walk in the door first starting off with offering our famous Aveda tea and other relaxing rituals with each service that we offer.


At Urban Sanctuary we are very passionate about education. Monthly the staff is either going to education off-site or Lisa is bringing education into the salon. Lisa has had her staff trained by the top educators with Aveda for color, cutting and styling.
